The Fetherston Vintners 2017 Dolcetto Rosé is crafted from a single parcel of hand picked King Valley fruit. Harvested in early March 2017, the fruit was whole bunch pressed and barrel fermented by indigenous yeasts. After completing malolactic fermentation, the resultant rosé had five months maturation on lees in neutral French oak barriques.
Pale copper in colour, this wine displays aromas of sweet white blooms, blackcurrant, sherbet, vanilla and freshly cut grass. Bone dry and elegantly structured, the palate is tight and taught with elements of white mulberry, pepper and delicate spice.

2017 Fetherston Dolcetto Rosé
'Light salmon-pink colour, with a toasty, nutty, barrel-fermented bouquet, some spiciness; the palate soft and rounded, full of flavour and pinoty richness, charm aplenty and fleshy texture. It has ample soft tannins, which are beautifully rounded and almost fluffy. An ace rosé.'

'Fermented wild in barrel. 275 dozen made. From Cheshunt in the King Valley. Salmon in colour and savoury and dry in style. Indeed it's a powerful rose with texture and character aplenty. Hay, spice, cherries and blackcurrant buds. It works very well.'
