2018 Fetherston 'Sakura' Pinot Noir Syrah
'It’s spicy and wheaty, almost a mescal edge to it, but also has purity of red fruit, clarity, and particularly good mouth-feel with stem, grip and grain to the tannin. Bright, fresh, frisky, juicy strawberry, a long lightly chalky finish to top it off. They are making very stylish wines at Fetherston. If you like ‘em bunchy, slightly bitter, and light, then this will hit the spot.’

'84% pinot noir, 16% shiraz from the Tibooburra Vineyard at Yellingbo. Wild ferment, all whole bunch for the pinot, whole berries for the syrah, 8 months in neutral French oak. Distinctly stemmy and bunchy on the bouquet and palate as you might expect, cherry and cranberry delivering the fruit-driven element. It's soft yet tangy and easy to drink, but it keeps you thinking.'
