VINEYARD: Malakoff Estate, Landsborough, Victorian Pyrenees
WINEMAKING: A single vineyard wine crafted from a single parcel of 19-year-old vines. Hand-picked in April, the fruit was destemmed and optically sorted in the winery before spending 60 days on skins. The wine was then pressed to French oak barriques (20% new) and saw 15 months élevage prior to bottling.
TASTING NOTES: Pale garnet in colour, this wine delivers complex aromas of black cherry, raspberry, rose petals and cassia bark. The palate is medium weight with juicy cherries, wild herbs and exceptionally delicate, yet assertive tannins.
PEAK DRINKING: Present - 2030

2019 Fetherston Estate Nebbiolo
'Plenty of perfume of alpine herb, fennel, cherry essence, spice and the like. Medium-bodied, finely etched, spiced strawberry, orange rind and cherry, freshness and dusty tannin grip, and a cool long finish of excellent definition and length. Very nice indeed.'
