WINEMAKING: Hand-picked fruit from four Yarra Valley sites and three clones. Whole-bunch pressed and fermented wild in French oak barriques and puncheons (10% new). Seven months élevage with zero bâttonage.

TASTING NOTES: Lemon yellow in colour, this wine delivers aromas of white blossoms, white nectarine and meyer lemon with hints of nutmeg and sea spray. The palate delivers fine quartz-like texture with an array of summer stone fruits, lemon myrtle and integrated oak tannins. The finish is long, full and satisfying with invigorating acidity.

  • 'Aromas are packed tightly, with toast and almond blossom, pink grapefruit, sage, nutmeg. Solid start lingering mostly in the savoury-spicy zone. Acidity is amazing, so high, cleansing, vibrating and twisting the tongue. Talcum powder fine texture to finish and more of the pure grapefruit pith and zest too. Great stuff, needed a moment to open up.'
