VINEYARD: Malakoff Estate Vineyard, Landsborough (Pyrenees), Victoria
WINEMAKING: Single vineyard Nebbiolo rosé from the acclaimed Malakoff Estate Vineyard. Hand-picked on the 16th of March 2022. Whole bunch pressed to neutral French barriques, fermented wild at 17°c. Zero bâttonage, late sulphured and bottled on the first day of spring, 2022. Aged on lees with zero bâttonage for five months prior to bottling in September 2021.
TASTING NOTES: Rose gold in colour, this vibrant rosé has a complex and delicately perfumed nose punctuated by aromas of summer berries, rose petals, vanilla and cinnamon. The palate is woven with quince and white mulberry characters, delicate salinity and a savoury edge. It has gorgeous mid-palate creaminess and just enough phenolics to tantalise.

2022 Fetherston 'Peony' Nebbiolo Rosé
'A single-vineyard wine. Whole-bunch pressed to neutral French barriques and fermented wild. A light, bright salmon pink. Fragrant with sour cherries, dried herbs and rose petals. Dry with a saline finish, this moreish wine would work well as either an aperitif or food wine in warm weather.'
